Week 2, Friday evening

[ Knoll opened the door slowly and carefully--he had planned on lingering within it earlier but it was easy to get a little restless and at least step out for food. Of course he brought a certain book because he couldn't risk leaving it lying around in his room, due to its...nature. But, anyway-- ]

...Velvet?

[ He just wanted to make sure he wasn't walking into a bad situation (her cleaning, her doing other things.) ]

[Luckily for Knoll, Velvet's finished all her cleaning for the day. She's just sitting on her bed, relaxing as she looks over a book about sailing. She puts it down, not bothering to save her place.]

Yeah? What is it?

[rextenebrae]

[ He carefully put the book on top of the TV and went to sit on his bed. ]

I suppose I was making sure that I wasn't walking in on something I shouldn't be.

[ ... ]

... Did you expect we'd already see so much chaos in such little time?

[breaksouls]

Honestly? I didn't think it'd take this long.

[She lets out a sigh.]

Although I guess it has to given what they told me...

I suppose I thought it'd be much later...

[ Though, to be fair, he wasn't sure what he was expecting, exactly. ]

Hm? Did they tell you something else?

[breaksouls]

No, I just meant what they said about not killing everyone at once. It's supposed to be more stretched out than what I proposed to them.

Yes...well, I suppose it's because it's more enjoyable for them if it's more spread out...

[ He mutters something underneath his breath. ]

Apparently. I'd rather just get it over with instead of waiting around for everyone else to make a move.

[ ... He wonders if he would honestly prefer that. Well, he decides he might. ]

I'd prefer for it to be 'gotten it over with', if it meant that the bloodshed wasn't any of ours, giving us a chance to give our captors some sort of retribution...
